In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. EZLOCK Pty Ltd (ABN 25664681056) trading as EZLOCK provides the following warranty in relation to its EZLOCK branded products (Products). The benefits of this warranty are in addition to any rights and remedies imposed by Australian State and Federal legislation that cannot be excluded. Nothing in this warranty is to be interpreted as excluding, restricting or modifying any State or Federal legislation applicable to the supply of goods and services which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified.
PRODUCT TERM
EZLOCK Pty Ltd warrants that each of its EZLOCK branded products will be free of defects in material and workmanship for the following Warranty periods:
- Electronic products – EZLOCK Pty Ltd warrants that electrical and electronic components used in EZLOCK branded products (excluding cylinders and batteries) will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. An extended Warranty of an additional 12 months, if an accredited Locksmith has installed the product. An invoice of works will need to be provided as proof. Batteries are not covered by the Warranty.
- External Housing – EZLOCK Pty Ltd warrants that external housing used in EZLOCK branded products will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. An extended Warranty of an additional 12 months, if an accredited Locksmith has installed the product. An invoice of works will need to be provided as proof. The Warranty does not apply to the finishes of EZLOCK branded products nor to cosmetic or appearance damage. Stainless Steel does not indicate stain free but that the product stains less when compared to ordinary carbon steel. Tea staining is a natural process that may occur to stainless steel products when not cleaned regularly and is therefore, not covered under Warranty.
- PCB Boards and electrical components – EZLOCK Pty Ltd warrants that the PCB Boards and electrical components used in EZLOCK branded products will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. An extended Warranty of an additional 12 months, if an accredited Locksmith has installed the product. An invoice of works will need to be provided as proof.
- Unauthorised alteration, modification or repair – damage caused to the product due to alterations, modifications or repairs being made to the product by any person other than the authorised personnel of EZLOCK Pty Ltd will result in the Warranty being void
- If a defect covered by warranty appears before the end of the warranty period, then EZLOCK Pty Ltd will, in its sole discretion, either:
- replace or repair the Product or the defective part of the Product free of charge; or
- refund the price of the Product; or
- re-supply the defective labour and workmanship; or
- refund the price of the labour and workmanship.
- EZLOCK Pty Ltd reserves the right to replace defective parts of the Product with parts and components of similar quality, grade and composition where an identical part or component is not available.
- All Products replaced under this warranty become the property of EZLOCK Pty Ltd
- Products presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the Products.
- For discontinued or unavailable Products, EZLOCK Pty Ltd may replace the goods with equivalent current or available goods.
- The warranty period commences from date of purchase.
- For installed goods, EZLOCK Pty Ltd requires adequate access to assess the goods, fittings and fixtures to assess any warranty claim, and to undertake any warranty repairs. EZLOCK Pty Ltd will not be responsible for any consequential damage or costs where adequate access to goods, fittings or fixtures is not provided.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
- If a defect covered by the Warranty occurs, the purchaser must first contact EZLOCK Pty Ltd, at the earliest stage that the defect becomes obvious, to enable prompt action and to avoid further damage, and must be made no later than 1 month from the defect becoming obvious.
- The purchaser must at their own expense, return the product securely packed to protect the product against damage, to EZLOCK Pty Ltd.
- Any warranty claim must be accompanied by proof of purchase and full details of the alleged defect and appropriate documentation which stipulates the date of delivery/installation, invoice number, the purchaser’s name and address and any maintenance records, within the applicable Warranty period referred to above.
- The purchaser must make the Product or workmanship available to EZLOCK Pty Ltd for inspection and testing. If EZLOCK Pty Ltd finds no fault, then the purchaser must pay EZLOCK’s usual costs of service work, inspection and testing.
- Warranty work will be conducted by EZLOCK Pty Ltd during normal working hours (8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday).
- If products are returned to EZLOCK Pty Ltd and it is deemed by reasonable opinion by EZLOCK Pty Ltd, that the Warranty does not apply, the products will be returned to you via freight at purchaser expense.
EXCLUSIONS
The purchaser acknowledges that the Products are not indestructible, and that some care in installation and maintenance is necessary. The Warranty excludes and does not extend or apply to:

- Damage caused to the Product as a result of normal wear and tear;
- Damage caused to the product as a result of misuse or abuse or being used in a way that it was not intended for use, nor designed for;
- Damage or defects caused by misuse or failure to adhere to the manufacturer’s selection and installation specifications, instructions or recommendations or maintenance instructions;
- Damage or defects arising due to the installation of the Products where the Products were not installed by an accredited Locksmith. This also includes damage caused to the structures where the Products are installed;
- Damage caused by improper batteries or caused by battery faults including but not limited to battery acid leakage will not be covered under Warranty;
- Damage caused by circumstances beyond EZLOCK’s control;
- Any damage or defects within acceptable industry variances;
- Damage caused to the Product because of being exposed to air, salt spray, high humidity or exposure to any other abnormal conditions including but not limited to temperature, fire, water, pressure and stress;
- Products that have been modified, built on or repaired by anyone other than EZLOCK Pty Ltd;
- Products that have not been maintained as recommended by EZLOCK Pty Ltd including failure to comply with care, cleaning & maintenance instructions;
- Any EZLOCK branded items that have had any of the brands, marks, patented plates, numbers or other information identifying EZLOCK on the product removed or defaced;
- Any maintenance items (which are the responsibility of the purchaser);
- Products installed, maintained or operated other than in accordance with EZLOCK’s instructions;
- overhaul, replacement or repair works undertaken prior to approval from EZLOCK Pty Ltd.
- Some of the materials and components used in the manufacture of the Product are not manufactured by EZLOCK and are not covered by this warranty (“supplied components”). Instead, they are separately warranted by their individual manufacturer’s warranty. EZLOCK will use its best reasonable endeavours to pass on to the purchaser the benefit of any third-party manufacturers’ warranties. The length of warranty periods provided for the supplied components and their terms may vary depending on the item.
LIMITATIONS
- EZLOCK Pty Ltd makes no express warranties or representations other than set out in this Warranty.
- EZLOCK Pty Ltd reserves the right to alter product specifications and introduce improvements at any time.
RETURNS
- Product must be unused and in original packaging undamaged.
- 20% restocking fee if the product returned.
REFUNDS
Once the return has been received and inspected, EZLOCK Pty Ltd will send the purchaser an email notification, that returned product has been received and notify the purchaser of the approval or rejection, of the requested refund. If approved, the refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days.
LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please email admin@ezlock.com.au.
SALE ITEMS
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
SHIPPING RETURNS

The Purchaser is responsible for paying any shipping costs associated with returning the purchased item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is approved, the cost of return shipping will not be refunded.
If returning more expensive items, EZLOCK Pty Ltd recommends using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. EZLOCK Pty Ltd takes no responsibility for returned products that may be lost/damaged during transit and will not provide a refund if the item is returned in unrepairable or poor condition, that is unfit for resale.
